Ranking the WORST players in the Premier League.
Hello.
I have a video to share with you today - this is the project I've been alluding to on twitter over the past couple of weeks. It took me a while to collect all the notes for it - it took me even longer to pull myself together and get in front of camera (this is nothing compared to the time it'll take you to watch it, though)
The idea of the video speaks for itself really - using WhoScored, I collected the 20 worst first team regulars in the Premier League, to be used as material for a tier list. What I mean to say is that, I sought out the players with the lowest average rating in each Premier League team, but in the interests of relevancy, I only included players who've made 5 starts or more (that's what I mean by first team regulars). I then separated these 20 players - one from each of the 20 teams - into 5 tiers, in hopes of determining who's the worst of the worst. (The 5 tiers, from top to bottom, are 'Form is Temporary', 'Unusual', 'Benefit of the Doubt', 'About Right' and 'Better than Usual for Him') It's not as complicated as I've made it sound.
I apologise for the month of silence on my blog - I assure you that I've been working studiously on this video behind the scenes. I will warn you, though, that it doesn't come across that way, in terms of the video's entertainment value and quality. As I desperately attempted to explain at one point in the recording, I tried my hardest to be funny and charismatic on screen, but - as this works against my natural personality - I had little success in this end. The first half of the video is rather dry, but I think I got into it a little more towards the end - if that's any enticement for the 50 minute whopper I've produced.
I hoped to upload the video straight to this website, but it's too ridiculously long for that, so I've resorted to using YouTube's unlisted feature: you'll only find the recording through clicking this link (or watching it here) Please don't share it around, my hair's a state and I don't want strangers to see that. With that said, I hope you can forgive my poor editing and awkward silences (the software I used wasn't very helpful in this regard) and enjoy my video. Thanks!
Here's the link you'll need: https://youtu.be/Ouc--grQKWc
I'll be very grateful if you watch it.

Love it la'.
